These Terms of Use describe HaruStar, a personal daily-review app provided by Minseok Song / KEYPLE (the developer). Read them together with the Privacy Policy. As of October 5, 2026, the app and Pro sales are being prepared. Publishing these terms does not announce a store launch, price or an available purchase.
1. Service and availability
HaruStar lets you record and review daily ratings, text, selected photos and tags on your device. It is a personal recording tool, not a public social network, medical service, diagnosis or AI analysis service. Features, supported devices and external-service availability depend on the installed version, operating system, store region and provider configuration.
2. Your records and responsible use
You retain your rights to the content you create. The app does not publish your records to a public feed or transfer ownership of them to the developer. Use content and photos that you are entitled to use, respect other people's rights and comply with applicable law. Do not use the app to interfere with others' systems, bypass purchase validation or misuse connected services.
Protect your device, store and Google accounts. If your local law requires a parent or guardian's permission for a purchase or external account service, obtain it before using that feature. This app does not require its own membership account for basic local recording.
3. Free features and Pro features
Basic local recording does not require Google sign-in. In the current implementation, Google account connection, restoration from Drive and backup-history deletion can be used without Pro. Creating a Google Drive backup and generating an Excel XLSX export require Pro. Other feature limits are explained in the installed app; this document does not promise every future feature in every version.
4. One-time lifetime Pro purchase
Pro is being prepared as a one-time, non-renewing lifetime purchase, not an automatically renewing subscription. Actual products and sales are not ready as of the effective date. When a purchase becomes available, the store purchase screen must show the product, price, currency and applicable payment details before confirmation. If no valid product is available, no purchase is offered.
Lifetime Pro means a non-expiring entitlement to the purchased HaruStar Pro offering, subject to supported service availability and applicable law. It is not a promise of perpetual hosting, unlimited third-party cloud storage, or access to every future separate product. Material changes affecting purchased features will be communicated appropriately, and mandatory consumer rights are not waived.
5. Payment, purchase restoration and refunds
When available, Apple App Store or Google Play processes payment, and RevenueCat validates the purchase and Pro entitlement. Restore purchases using the original store account through the app's purchase-restoration control. Google Drive sign-in is separate from the store account and does not itself activate Pro. The same purchase is not guaranteed to transfer between Apple and Google stores or unrelated accounts.
A cancelled purchase does not activate Pro. Pending or unverified transactions may require completion or verification before access is granted. Refunds, withdrawal rights and purchase disputes follow applicable law and the original store's procedures; these terms do not exclude statutory rights or impose a blanket no-refund rule.
6. Google Drive backup and restoration
Google connection is optional. Backups are manually initiated and sent directly to your own Drive using per-file access. They are not automatic synchronization, and transfers do not resume automatically after the app closes. Your Google account's storage capacity and Google's service availability apply.
New backups contain saved review JSON, optional shared photo files and a final manifest. Drafts, reminders, theme settings, purchase status and credentials are not included. Photos may be reused between backups. After a new backup is verified, the app attempts to retain the latest two verified backups and moves older app backups to Drive Trash. Failed cleanup or unsupported or damaged backups can leave additional copies.
Review the restoration warning: restoration replaces saved records, and restoring a photo-excluded backup replaces them without those photos. Existing drafts are preserved. A failed verification or conflicting change prevents applying the replacement. Existing Drive ZIP backups are supported only for restoration compatibility; manual ZIP export/import is not offered in the current app.
Disconnecting signs out on the current device, without deleting backups or revoking all Google permissions. Manage permissions in Google account connections and files or Trash in Drive. These backup files have no additional app password or app-level encryption. Check the backup result and protect your storage; the developer cannot remotely recover device-only records.
7. Excel exports and external sharing
Pro can generate XLSX files for a selected period on your device, including daily reviews and optional detailed ratings and weekly, monthly and yearly summaries. Photo files and drafts are excluded. An XLSX file is for viewing and analysis, not a restorable backup.
You select the destination in the operating-system share sheet. The receiving app or service controls its copies. File generation does not confirm external storage success; check the receiving destination. Do not share private content unintentionally.
8. External providers and privacy
Google handles optional authentication and Drive storage. Apple, Google and RevenueCat handle configured purchase operations. Availability and applicable provider rules may affect those features. Data handling, local reminders, widgets, backup retention and privacy controls are explained in the Privacy Policy. Lock-screen notifications and home-screen widgets can expose record information to people nearby.
9. Updates, interruptions and responsibility
The developer may update the app to fix defects, improve compatibility or address security and provider changes. Significant changes to these terms or purchased functionality will be explained with an effective date and appropriate notice. Any required consent will be obtained separately; an updated website notice alone does not authorize new data use.
Device damage, app removal, storage shortages, network failures or external-service interruptions can affect records, backups or purchases. Keep verified backups where appropriate. The developer remains responsible to the extent required by applicable law; these terms do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restrict mandatory consumer protections. We will consider reported defects and purchase problems through support.
