Project overview

A casual puzzle that places triangular blocks on a hexagonal board to complete lines and same-color hexagons. The game combines precise drag-and-drop controls, calm pastel visuals, instant feedback, saved scores, and global rankings.

Challenge

We needed to keep the familiarity of a block puzzle while defining distinctive rules around triangular pieces and a hexagonal grid, with precise controls and fast judgments on many screen sizes.

Solution

Using Flutter and Flame, we implemented triangular placement, line completion, and same-color hexagon detection, then connected Firebase authentication, score storage, and leaderboards.

Result

HEXTRI launched on iOS and Android with untimed casual play and global score competition, maintained efficiently from a shared codebase.
